In S. Korea, there are a lot of good Japanese restaurants. Particularly in Incheon's New Songdo/ International Business District not far from the Korea Maritime Agency, there is the "Masi" and the "Kyoto" restaurants. This dish is found at the Masi, and it is chicken, coated with egg, and rice on the bottom. It also contains some noodles, too. It's a simple, yet filling dish that is good to try -- especially if you love chicken like me.

To the left (the yellow dish), is a sweet radish that's quite good. To the right is some Kimchi. Typically, when you order whatever it is you've chosen to eat, you'll find that sidings mostly are Kimchi, with spicy and/or sweet radishes that are good!

SEOUL IS HUGE! You always know that as a given fact, but when I was looking down from a mountain not far near Anguk Station, you can see how wide it is from side to side. My eyes couldn't fathom it all, and my camera couldn't capture it all, but it is so very  beautiful.

This is part of the spanning Secret Garden. I'm not going to post too many of my gorgeous pictures, b/c if you want to see the palace, COME TO SOUTH KOREA. It is SO beautiful and it just overwhelms you with its natural, simplistic beauty; beauty that's the most simplistic and natural is always TRUE, not artificial or superficial. In case you want to know, Changdeokgung palace was created in 1405 by the Joeseon Dynasty during the rule of King Taejong. Gyeongbokgung was destroyed during the Japanese invasion (1592-1598), and so Changdeokgung served as the main palace for about 270 years, until Gyeongbokgung was reconstructed, beginning in 1868.

This palace has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997.

This is Changdeokgung, a GORGEOUS palace. I went and toured it Wednesday, October 17th, and I am so very glad that I went. I did both the regular tour and a Japanese tour of the Secret Garden. The architecture here is amazing; it's like you see the place and you're instantly aware of the greatness associated with this palace. I couldn't help but feel remarkably blessed yesterday as I walked the palace grounds. I'll never forget laying my eyes on this gorgeous place. I'm definitely coming back to S. Korea to see it again and will be visiting it again before I leave.

Ongjin County  Once More

Picture
This is me about 2 and a half weeks ago at Ongjin County near the Yellow Sea in South Korea. It is a beautiful place to be and I couldn't resist not walking on the beach bare-footed. I even collected sea shells. This makes the 2nd island I have been to so far in S. Korea.
